Senior year is flying by—and so is your chance to explore what’s next. In just three short weeks, TK Discovery Days kick off at Lake Area Technical College, running November 10–14. If you’ve been curious about diesel technology or wondering whether a hands-on career in agriculture might be the right fit, this is your sign to jump in.
See What It’s Really Like
At TK Discovery Days, high school seniors spend a morning as a “student for a day.” From 8:00 a.m. to noon, you’ll shadow a current Lake Area Tech student, follow their class schedule, and step right into the shop to see real training in action. You’ll see how classroom learning and hands-on work come together to build a career that keeps agriculture moving forward.
Each visiting senior is paired one-on-one with a student—so instead of standing on the sidelines, you’ll get the full experience. You’ll meet instructors, ask questions, and get honest answers about what the program is really like. By lunchtime (which we’ll provide!), you’ll have a genuine feel for life as a diesel tech student.
It’s Coming Up Fast
Spots are limited to just five students per day, and they’re filling quickly as we approach the event. If you haven’t registered yet, now’s the time. All you need are long pants, closed-toe shoes, and an open mind—we’ll take care of the rest, including safety glasses and lunch.
