Signing Day at Platte Valley Equipment – Congrats, Class of 2025!

Platte Valley Equipment hosts signing day on May 1st and gears up for the second signing day on Monday, May 12th. Congrats to the Class of 2025 and our new Student Technicians!
This May, we’re proud to celebrate Signing Day with area high school seniors beginning their career journeys with Platte Valley Equipment.
These students have committed to training as diesel technicians through programs that blend classroom instruction with real-world experience in our shops.
Programs These Students Will Attend
This fall, our new Student Technicians will enroll in one of the following programs:
Lake Area Technical College – TechKnowledge Program
Students in this program rotate between school and John Deere shops each semester. They get hands-on training on the latest John Deere equipment.
This structure helps them build real skills while also gaining insight into daily life in a professional ag service environment.
By the end of the program, students are John Deere Certified Technicians step into full-time roles, already prepared for the demands of the job.
Southeast Community College – John Deere Tech Program
This program is focused on John Deere systems and tools. Students train on diagnostics, precision ag, and electronic service systems.
Through internships, they get direct experience in dealership operations while also learning important communication and customer service skills.
It’s a well-rounded experience that prepares students to contribute right away.
Northeast Community College – General Diesel Program
This program covers diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and more. It offers broad technical exposure that builds solid foundational knowledge.
Graduates are ready to service a variety of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
